The ProSoft MVI56E-MCMR module is a serial communication module designed for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix controllers. It is mainly used to establish a communication connection between the ControlLogix system and devices that support the Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol for data exchange.

Product description

PROSOFT MVI56E-MCMR Serial communication module
The MVI56E-MCMR module provides two independently configurable serial ports, each of which can be configured as either a master or slave Modbus station. There is a 10,000-word data block inside the module to store the data exchanged with the Modbus device. Through this module, the ControlLogix controller can easily read and write registers of Modbus devices to achieve control and monitoring of external devices.
